The Board of Foothills Emmaus Community is excited to offer Year 1 of Day 4 Restore, a one-day retreat to refresh the spirit and renew the commitment for those who have been on the Walk to Emmaus or other Fourth Day ministry.
Day 4 Restore was designed in 2021 by Emmaus International to help communities rebuild and revive after Covid affected our ability to offer in-person walks. Day 4 Restore is designed to be done once a year on a three-year cycle. We have chosen to offer Year One the second Saturday of October which is when we traditionally offer fall walks.
During the Day 4 Restore retreat you will get to reconnect with people who were on your original walk as well as others in the Foothills Emmaus Community. You will hear two talks, inspiring messages and have time to reflect and discuss around the table. Just like on the Walk to Emmaus, we will sing, pray, eat, talk in table groups, worship and celebrate Holy Communion together.
You are asked to pre-register by October 7 so we will know how much food and how many childcare workers will be needed. The cost is $10 a person, which can be paid the day of the event. Registration will start at 9:00 a.m. followed by music. The bell will ring at 9:30 to start.
